CareCompare is all about transparency so we will provide you with anything you might need to know about using our online service.

The information on this site about Home Care Providers is sources from government public data, the providers themselves or from consumers. You can use this information to make better choices about home care.

We also produce our own content such as the Insiders Guide and our Home Care Insights blog, we ask that you don’t use our proprietary content without crediting CareCompare accordingly.

When you subscribe to CareCompare you will be billed on a recurring basis until you cancel the subscription or if you have not used the site in 12months. You can cancel payments in the "Manage My Account" Section of the site or you can email us at contact@carecompare.com.au

Using the site means you agree to our T&Cs so it’s a good idea to read through them.

Using the "Site" we mean anything on this website, including free and premium access areas of this Website.

Stay updated

T&Cs can be updated over time and continuing to use our sites means you agree to the updated T&Cs. We will send out an email when this happens but you can always access the most up to date version on the footer of the site.

You have the right to access, use and display care compare.com.au pages or website. Information on this site is for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to interrupt, or attempt to interrupt, the operation of the website in any way.

A subscription is for an individual or family. If you're a business, library or another institution and would like access for multiple users to the premium offering, we can arrange that. Please email us on contact@carecompare.com.au with your requirements.

Protecting your password

When you register with CareCompare, you'll select a password. It’s important you keep this private and confidential because you could be liable for any breaches of the T&Cs using your credentials.

Provider details attribution

We do not own the right to Home Care Provider details, we coordinate with providers and source data from both government and non-government agencies these include myagedcare.gov.au, agedcarequality.gov.au, agedcare.royalcommission.gov.au, gen-agedcaredata.gov.au and various other aged care sector and advocacy reports.

Provider information disclaimer

CareCompare does not assume any legal liability or responsability for the accuracy, currency or completeness of information sourced from external sources such as the provider details including cost, fees, specialisations and business information

It is your responsibility to confirm details directly with the provider or obtain professional advice based on your specific circumstances.

Copyright and trade marks

CareCompare owns the copyright for content generated by CareCompare, and some of our employees and/or contractors own moral rights.

If you'd like to use any CareCompare reports, articles, data insights (the Materials) in whole or part, you must have our written permission before doing so.

The Materials are protected in Australia and internationally by the law of copyright, moral rights, trade mark, equity, common law and other legislation such as the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.

We reserve the right to take legal action to prevent any unauthorised use or reproduction of the Materials, in whole or part, for any purpose including but not limited to advertising, copyright works, trade marks, logos and any commercial purpose use.

User generated content

The Agreement relates to any and all Communications submitted to CareCompare By "Communications" we mean things like content, survey responses, other responses to research, and user reviews and comments.

Removing content

We may, in our absolute discretion, at any time remove any user generated content from our website if we feel it’s necessary based on the following criteria:

  1. For a commercial purpose
  2. Indecent or abusive
  3. False or misleading
  4. Slanderous, libellous or defamatory
  5. Likely to cause injury of any kind
  6. Likely to or does violate or breach any rights of any person and/or group (including the intellectual property rights, contract rights, or any other rights of CareCompare and/or any third party)
  7. Likely to or does violate or breach any applicable laws, rules, or regulations
  8. Likely to or does contain software viruses or any other malicious code
  9. Likely to be harmful, or to cause loss or damages to CareCompare and/or any third parties
  10. In our opinion, of a vexatious nature
  11. Likely to relate to a membership issue and the customer has been contacted and/or the issue has been resolved
  12. Off-topic and/or
  13. Not adequately and/or properly declaring an association and/or vested interest in any brand, product and/or company

You take full responsability for what you post
You are solely responsible for the content of any and all content you publish to care compare.com.au

These disclaimers also limit our liability to you.

When you post to our site:

  • We can use and republish anything you post on CareCompare
  • You indemnify us in case you publish something that gets us into trouble.
  • You acknowledge and agree that, we may in our absolute discretion and without notification to you, edit or remove any one or more of the Communications from CareCompare
  • You acknowledge and agree that we aren’t under any obligation to publish what you post
  • You acknowledge and agree that we aren't liable for your actions in using our CareCompare
  • Complaints about user comments

We don't take responsibility for, endorse or necessarily agree with your posts and/or the Communications of any third party, including members of the public, on CareCompare

Please be aware that we may not monitor all posts systematically. We will try to respond to complaints and will permanently remove any and all relevant content if we think that's necessary.

We may decide that the complaint does not warrant any action.

How to report inappropriate comments

If you think a user comment is inappropriate, unsuitable or breaches any term or condition of the Agreement, please report it via email to contact@carecompare.com.au and outline the following information:

  • You’re reasons for the complaint and how it breaches this agreement
  • Your name and contact details.
  • Any other information about your relationship with the provider or comment in question.

Your subscription

Your rights

As a consumer, you have rights.

Under Australia's Competition and Consumer Act 2010, you have remedies available to you if a service isn't delivered with due care and skill.

If something is not as you expect you can email us at care compare.com.au and we'll help you as quickly as we can. You can read all about our complaints handling policy here.

Cost

In order to remain independent we charge a small monthly subscription fee of $4.99 p/m this ensures we can continue to be completely consumer focused and provide you with the best resources.

Our subscription costs are in Australian dollars.

When you subscribe online, we'll bill you on a recurring basis. That means we'll debit your nominated card or bank account until you tell us to stop. In other words, it's up to you to cancel.

You can cancel your subscription at any time, however to avoid being charged for the next period you need to notify us at least one 3 working days before your membership expires.

To cancel, log in to compare.com.au and and going to “manage my account” where you can follow the prompts to cancel your membership. You can also email us at contact@carecompare.com

You'll have access to premium content until the end of your subscription term.

We'll let you know that a new subscription term is about to start before we debit your nominated card or bank account. You'll see your debit on your bank statement, shown as Care Compare PTY LTD

Home Care Packages

Aged Home Care packages are allocated through the Australian Government’s My Aged Care System. You will need to meet the eligibility criteria and be assessed the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT, or ACAS in Victoria).
